Please read this. By creating a FinCircle account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use FinCircle. Two points matter more than the rest: FinCircle is a record-keeping tool and never holds or transfers your money, and it does not give financial advice.
1. The agreement
These Terms & Conditions are an agreement between you and PARUL TRADE, Modipuram, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, Pin 250110, India ("FinCircle", "we", "us"), governing your use of the FinCircle mobile app, the FinCircle web app and this website (together, the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement.
2. What FinCircle is — and is not
FinCircle helps you record and understand money you have already moved: it tracks accounts, Money In and Money Out, budgets, savings goals and expenses shared with other people, and it calculates who owes whom.
FinCircle is not:
- a bank, a wallet, a payment system or a money-transfer service;
- a lender, a broker, an investment platform or a financial adviser;
- connected to your bank account, and it never asks for banking credentials;
- an accounting, audit or tax filing service, or a substitute for professional advice.
We do not hold, receive, transmit or invest your funds at any point. Any actual movement of money happens through your own bank, UPI app or payment provider, under their terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law (or the law that applies to you) to use FinCircle. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it to these terms.
4. Your account
- You may sign in with Google or with an email address and a password. The verified email address is your identity in the Service, including for group invitations.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything done under your account. Enable the app lock on a shared device.
- Give accurate account information and keep it current.
- One person, one account. Do not sell, share or transfer your account.
- Tell us promptly at parulkarnawal@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Your data and content
The records you enter remain yours. You grant us only the permission we need to operate the Service for you — to store, back up, sync, process and display your content on your devices and, for shared group records, to the other members of that group.
Accuracy is yours. FinCircle reports what you record. A balance, a budget, a report or a group balance is only as correct as the entries behind it, and where a feature suggests an entry from a transaction alert, it is prepared for your confirmation — you remain responsible for checking it before saving.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take reasonable care, but we do not guarantee that data will never be lost.
6. Groups and shared expenses
- Creating or joining a group means sharing your display name, profile photo, account email address, your share of group expenses, your balance and your settlements with the other members.
- Invite only people who would expect an invitation from you, and only using contact details you are entitled to use.
- Group balances and settlements are calculated on our servers so that every member sees the same figures. We do not adjudicate disagreements between members about who paid what — the group's records are a tool for you to resolve that among yourselves.
- Expenses stay in a group's history even when a member leaves, because deleting them would silently change what other members owe.
- A debt recorded in FinCircle is an arrangement between you and the other members. It is not a debt owed to us, and we are not a party to it.
7. Settlements and UPI handoff
When you settle up, FinCircle may prepare the payment details and hand them to your UPI or payment app. The payment is made by you, through that app, to the other person. FinCircle records that a settlement was made; it does not execute it, cannot reverse it, and is not responsible for a payment sent to the wrong person or for the wrong amount. Check the payee and the amount in your payment app before you confirm.
8. Premium, billing and refunds
- Free tier. The core of FinCircle is free to use and is supported in part by advertising.
- Premium costs ₹29 per year and unlocks the features described on our pricing section. Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- How it is bought. Premium is purchased inside the app, through Google Play billing, the Apple App Store, or a payment provider we offer at checkout. That provider's terms govern the payment itself.
- Renewal. Where a subscription renews automatically, it renews yearly at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your app-store subscription settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or where the store's own refund policy applies. If Premium did not work as described, write to us — we will look at it fairly.
- Price and feature changes. We may change the price or the contents of a plan. A change takes effect for you at your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.
- Downgrade. If Premium ends, your records stay intact; Premium-only features simply stop being available.
9. AI features
The assistant generates text using a third-party AI model from a summary of your figures. It can be inaccurate or incomplete, it is provided for information only, and it is not advice — see section 14. Use is subject to the query limits of your plan, and we may change those limits or the underlying model.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use FinCircle for anything unlawful, including money laundering, fraud, or recording transactions in furtherance of a crime;
- add another person to a group, or invite them, without a genuine basis for doing so, or use invitations to send unwanted messages;
- upload content that is unlawful, abusive, obscene, infringing, or that contains malware;
- attempt to access another user's account or data, or circumvent our access rules, rate limits, subscription checks or security;
- reverse engineer, decompile, scrape or automate access to the Service, except to the extent the law expressly permits;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission;
- interfere with the Service's operation or place an unreasonable load on it.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep FinCircle available, but the Service is provided on an "as available" basis: it may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or causes beyond our control. We may add, change, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your records.
12. Intellectual property
The FinCircle app, website, name, logo, design and all software in them belong to PARUL TRADE and are protected by law. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own purposes. Nothing here transfers any ownership to you. If you send us feedback or a suggestion, we may use it freely and without obligation.
13. Third-party services
FinCircle relies on third-party services — including Google Firebase, Google's Gemini models, app-store billing, payment providers and your own UPI or banking apps — and may link to third-party sites. We do not control them, we are not responsible for them, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
14. No financial advice
Everything the Service produces — insights, reports, health scores, budget or savings suggestions, and AI responses — is informational only. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, it is not a recommendation to take any particular action, and it does not take account of your full circumstances. FinCircle is not a registered investment adviser or financial adviser. Consult a qualified professional before making a financial decision, and make your own judgement about what you do with your money.
15. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that automatic transaction detection will identify every transaction or identify one correctly, or that any calculation, insight or AI output will be accurate or complete. Nothing in these terms excludes a liability that cannot be excluded by law, or affects the statutory rights of a consumer.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FinCircle and PARUL TRADE will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, savings, goodwill or data, arising out of or connected to your use of the Service — including any financial decision you make in reliance on it, any payment you make to another person, or any dispute with a group member.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or connected to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ₹1,000.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PARUL TRADE and its people from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of another person's rights or of any law.
18. Suspension and termination
You may stop using FinCircle at any time and delete your account from inside the app; deletion removes your records as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be undone. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully, or where we are required by law to do so — with notice where it is practical to give it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 12, 14–17 and 19) do survive it.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or connected to them, except that a consumer may bring proceedings in the courts of their own place of residence where the law gives them that right. Before starting proceedings, please contact us — most issues are settled far more quickly by email.
20. General
- Changes. We may update these terms. The effective date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use FinCircle after that means you accept them.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
- Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- No waiver. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms; we may assign ours to a successor of our business.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a failure caused by something genuinely beyond its reasonable control.
